Everybody has a spot they associated with, a spot they never need to leave. Some place they have a sense of security. Making associations with spots and things is a piece of being human. Leaving those spots is at some point the hardest thing we ever do. Leaving Florida was one of those occasions. Before I was constrained back on a plane to my old neighborhood of Nederland CO there were three spots I needed to bid farewell to: my tree, the bamboo woods, and the sea. The primary spot I needed to go before my takeoff was my tree. I had discovered it on the principal day I had been their, a gigantic tree I found in a recreation center not a long way from my grandparents’ house.
